In view of the tension and challenges women face in extra-marital problems, family tragedies and everyday life, our Federation has launched this free hotline service since mid-November 1998 to give necessary legal advice for women with the aim of providing an outlet to women who want to understand their legal rights.
More than twenty Honorary Legal Consultants of HKFW have joined this scheme offering free legal advice to all female citizens in the aspects of:
Moreover, in order to provide an alternative for the resolution of women and family disputes and reduce cost in litigation procedures, our Federation has cooperated with "Hong Kong Mediation Centre (HKMC)" to launch the "Women and Family Disputes Mediation Service" from early 2006. |

*The Honorary Legal Consultants will offer preliminary legal advice to clients based on their personal information supplied, which excludes reading legal documents and other papers. HKFW and all HLCs will not bear any legal responsibility for opinion (legal or otherwise), advice and information given to the inquirers during the advice sessions. They may reserve their right to refuse provision of service or answer any question.
*All enquirers will be deemed to have agreed that personal data may be made available to the Duty Lawyer Services for the purpose of provding professional idemnity insurance.
